On stand now. We have a north wind for the next 4 days so I'm regrouping. Saw 4 shooter bucks over the weekend but can't hunt that stand with out a south wind. Tucked in a funnel with volunteer beans to the south and a small buck decoy. Saw 4 bucks this am and rattled in a 130 buck but only had a quartering to shot. Passed that. Maybe better this pm

I am headed at west central IL Friday hunting 10 - 19 for the first time. Will I still see some rut action or my date be during the lockdown period

My buddy is out in west central IL right now. He blew it on a chip shot at a 160 class ten pointer this am!!! 15 yards shot right under it. Happens. Good luck to both of you.

I’m in mid-east central Illinois from 6-16. Saw a nice shooter 10 this morning that came in just out of range. I don’t think it’s hit hard yet. Not much chasing and still seeing small bucks and does with yearlings. I think we are a day or two away from the best action. Good luck everyone!

Just got a doe into the field. Eating beans hope it attracts a buck

Saw a buck in thick brush 60 yds. Grunted twice and it ran to 5 yards. Tiny 4 x 2. Done for today.

We're in west central Illinois as well,,,dang we've hunted a 350 acre farm for 4 days,,,only a few good scrapes ,no rubs,,no small bucks chasing no nothing,,,wth ,,hoping that will get rolling,,what are y'all seeing???

I'm in southern Illinois found one rub and no scrapes. I've seen alot of does but no chasing yet.
