Deer meat 08-Nov-17
5:45 AM LIVE from Ct*
Good morning Orion brothers and sisters. A glorious day is about to unfold. Please join me this morning. It is 38* F with light wind from NNE. Will post pics when the light arrives. No noise in the forest for now. Good luck to everyone else out there.
GL Bud!!! Going to be a beauty of a day to be out
I hope you refreshed the scrapes.
Good luck this morning six. Watching my grandson today, home sick from school, poor little guy.
Goodluck! Im headed To MA to check cams and sit this afternoon.
From: Deer meat
Great morning for a sit, have pines to the left and open hard woods to right.. time for some horn bashin.. good luck out there..
Ok, it's light. Where are the pics?
Good view no deer
Up on a ridge watching the valley and the top, ready to move if I spot movement. So far not even squirrels are out.
are you hunting on the ground?
Well nothing this morning. I'm going home to eat something and then I'll be back in the afternoon. I did find two deer carcasses left by somebody probably within 24 to 36 hour.
What? Do they have arrow wounds?
How do you know it was killed by people?
Well, they are skinned, they're butchered and about 25% of the meat was left behind. Also, they have what appears to be an arrow wound on each animal. I have pictures but I'm not going to post them here. Both carcasses were in the same spot stacked. Definitely were killed with shots over 90 yards away.
What area you around? Its not a bow only area is it?
Crazy.. shame they wasted that much meat as well...
Bow only but you hear occasional gun shots.
Back hunting since 2pm at a different spot with better wind. Up in the tree this time, about 21 feet.
Small ridge to my right
Big ridge to my left
Behind me to the North
Overcast with light NNE breeze
5 minutes - no movement
Nothing for me today. Scrapes are smashed. ??
You are either on them or your not. Bucks were cruising like crazy yesterday. Does on the move too. I connected with a big doe last night.
