Up. Hunting suburban Pittsburgh. 28 degrees, frost. My 16 yr old son is about 90 yds up the hill from me. Narrow travel corridor with bedding to our west. If they come through one of us should get a shot. Turkeys are sounding off, and there is a gobbler. Seen hundreds and hundreds of birds on this property and not one gobbler ever. It’s turkey season also.

Just had 4 point sneak up on me. Spotted me, then went up the hill to Christopher. Got to 20 yds of him, but he didn’t see the deer coming and got busted reaching for his bow.

He had a doe sneak up behind him and bust him.
We have food and are planning to sit all day.

He was reading a text I sent him, and a 6 point snuck by at 25 yards, cruising fast.
He’s definitely in the right spot, but it is tough because they are on you quick.

Yes. I’m in tree that I killed 8 deer out of last year, which for some reason has been awful this year. Christopher is up high along the houses, which is where all the deer seem to be moving this year.

Not sure what is going on with this property. All day sits last year I’d see deer all day long, usually at least a dozen. Really odd.

Lotta acorns this year around here. Like, one bumper crop bred another bumper crop and they had twins.....
That changes the properties i hunt, at least to a certain extent. Maybe not ur case, but a thought...

I think EHD has killed many more deer in Allegheny County than people think. Talked with the landowner and she isn’t seeing anywhere near the numbers of deer as in the past.
