Back in the stand where the tree branch almost killed me falling 6” away. Didn’t hold much hope for this spot. There is this pine tree that has a scrape under it almost every yr. there was no sign there this year until now it’s freshly openend and 6 ft in diameter 30 yds from me. Smile on me deer gods. Smile on me.

9 hrs in two different stands. 0 deer seen. Just another average day in western ma. in the deer woods. "well deer woods"? Somebody please tell mass wildlife that the deer stocking truck keeps forgetting to stop here. Now I remember why I bought a camp in western NY.
