I have the points to draw this tag this coming fall. Just curious if anyone has spent enough time in area 17 to tell me what to expect, if it's worth it, etc., or anything else you'd like to tell me. I've lived in WY my whole life, just haven't spent any time over there besides driving through. Thanks.

After looking at draw odds I could also draw one of these units besides unit 17. Areas are 10, 16, 23, 24, or 25. I'm just not sure where to start. I will probably call a biologist and start by picking their brain, but hopefully some of you might have some input too. Thanks again.

hunted it a lot... twice for bull moose. once pre wolf, once post wolf. I much preferred pre wolf... Do you have specific questions or just want to know if a moose lives there? They do.

I'm basically wondering if those areas are worth using my 18 points on? I was fairly certain there are some moose there, but I have heard bad stories since the introduction of wolves. Around here where I live they took a huge hit, but just lately seem to be coming back a little. I was hoping that was the case in most areas. I do not have a ton of time to hunt. I only live about 3 hours away from those areas, but won't be able to hunt days other than Fri-Sun. each weekend. Basically, I think I am going to plan on putting in for one of these 6 areas, I just need to talk to some people and figure out which would possibly be better. For the record, I'm not looking for a monster. Something decent with my bow and I'd be tickled pink.

I was in Unit 23 less than 24 hours and found this bull. I didn't mean to end the hunt so quickly but you know what they say about passing one on the first day that you would shoot on the last day. I had never been in that country before. Did my scouting on Google Earth. I couldn't be happier with the result. I'd be glad to share what I know. PM me if you get serious about 23. Paul
