I am going over in May and got a steal in my opinion. Purchased flight for $1021 and preferential seating (window exit row) for $75 each way.

I'm going in June and been shopping. They are steep right now IMO.

PAstringking, where did you find that and what airlines? If you don't mind sharing? I did go once before in May and it definitely seems that they were cheaper then. Probably just a timing thing. I'm taking my girlfriend, so double airfare kinda sucks!

I think I paid about $1200 last year Jackson, MS - Joburg RSA for roundtrip.

Got enough skymiles now to cover airfare now should "Africa itch" occur.

I utilized a travel agent who does a very good job with handle all flight matters.

Is there a specific airline that you guys would avoid for flying to jburg? I was looking at flights today and South African airways was about half the cost of delta.

My flight is through SAA and is direct from JFK to Joburg. No stops in UK or Dakar.

Honestly.... I think I’m so committed to going back again I didn’t care what the price was LoL
