Went out bright and early today and the deer I found were rutting hard. This guy was running a doe around, he was about 100 yards out and he would chase her then stop and breed her then follow her through the trees. I saw them walking my way so I got tucked up tight to a Pinon tree and waited. She was busy looking for things to eat and he was too busy with her to notice me. As they walked by at 25 yards I let the Easton Axis fly and it hit it's mark. I wasn't to far from the house so I went and got my grandson to help get him out.

Thank you all....That boy would rather be out in the woods more than anything. There's been a few times I had to sneak away to go hunt because he had to go to school functions and he was wanting to go hunting with me, he'll be 8 in Feb. Guess that's not a bad problem to have though. His sister is the same way.
