Here is a much better answer....The foot Doc recommended these after a 6 month bout with PF...in about 2 weeks I was no longer in pain and haven't had a re-occurrence in 7-8 years !! They are green soft material on top and a thin plastic black bottom with a definitive arch support. They are made by Spenco and have this imprinted on the bottom: 4L Spenco. I feel nothing while wearing them and still have the original pair plus 3 others for all my normal footwear (tennis, boots, dress shoes, cowboy boots, etc.) Good luck !!
