Well I just returned from yet another amazing south Texas Nilgai hunt, And I had a blast, the end result was no bull for me on day 3 I shot a bull felt like a great shot but we never found him after tons of searching, I made a 150 yard stalk on him and waited for a good shot and took it not sure what happened they are one tough critter for sure, but I will be back next year for sure,

Nilgai are tough with a bow! Used to have buddies in Corpus that would go down in the tidewaters off the King and shoot them. The King Ranch was able to get that shut down.

Man thats a tough drive home I'm sure. Especially after what you thought was a good hit. Never hunted them but I hear they can take a lot to bring down. They just look tougher than hell! Get 'em next year!

They are tough for sure, don’t bleed a lot with their thick hides as well. I’m headed down in 3 weeks, hope to connect with a big one, making freezer room now!
