cnelk are you serious? last 5 years I have had crap luck drawing the general tag with less than 2 points. Odds or not I am just not that lucky of a guy. This year though I am in with 2 points so I do hope to draw...... Good luck everyone..

I had enough PPs this year to draw General, but since my daughter is getting married on Sept 15, that slowed my September elk hunting down this year

I'm hoping to draw general for first time, only have one pt. GOHUNT says I have 14% chance. We shall see. Will go either way and help my buddy who moved there if I don't draw. In that case I'm sure I'll be covered up in elk with no tag! Isn't that the way it works? Would be my first time hunting in WYO.

Stats say I should draw - but I'd be perfectly fine waiting a year if odds change... Something about burning a decades worth of preference points that is bitter sweet I guess...

I'm hoping to draw but its more hope than anything. I screwed up in 2017 and didn't get a point so I'm one below a guaranteed (by last year's #s) tag. I thought I had applied. I even made sure a buddy of mine got his by reminding him several times. Only thing I can figure is that I must have stopped one screen short which is so unlike me. However, it was during the time my Father was in the hospital so I'm blaming my inattention to detail to the craziness of the time.

Increase was to be expected, several sources said that we would see an increase in apps. For example, I put in earlier then I planed to forgo another three years of prefrence points needed, useing the special draw and getting out of wy after I draw my tag.
