Utah bonus points

I have not applied for Utah points or hunt units for quite some time...10 years or so...In fact, I had forgotten that I had ever done it. Today, I went to apply for a point and apply for sheep while I was at it, and was amazed to find I still have 4 points for limited entry elk. Can anyone explain this?

Some states remove your points if you haven't applied in the past two years, five years, whatever.
I appears UT does not do that.

First time I applied for moose was 1999. In 2007 I applied for an antlerless elk tag and found out I had one moose bonus point.
Never knew I had it. Now I have 11. Had I only known...

Hey Mike, Being a Utah native I would offer a bit of advice,you are at least ten years away from drawing a decent unit unless you get lucky on the random side. That being said you are a self proclaimed lucky guy... so good luck !!!
