Thinking of going out shed hunting next week and wondering if any of you are finding some. I will be out in south east MN. Good luck
Lots of big horns already being picked up, but a lot of guys striking out too. Pretty much the norm for this time of year. If you know where some good bucks are you prob should've been after them last week or even earlier. Good luck!
Crazy difference in regions about how much they get chewed up by rodents. I hear from guys that hunt on Illinois that say if you don't get them in the first few days, they are chewed up pretty good. Down here in Oklahoma, I've found sets from the year prior without chew marks. Squirrels everywhere too.
Good luck, I'll be out with friends looking for them and killing some pigs in the process.
In Iowa, had two bucks cross my pasture two days ago, a 10 & an 8..... still carrying.
Here in central MT it's been several weeks since I've seen an antlered buck. Have them within feet of my windows and can see the pedicle on the bucks so I guess most are bald.
Same LKH. Snow so dang deep it's tough to walk. Plus some may be covered by the last bad storm. Luck!

Here is the only one I have found this year, oldie but a goodie.
I have found 9 so far. 6 from this year and 3 from last year. All in Washington DC, 10 minutes from the capitol.
I think Nancy Pelosi dropped the one on the bottom right.
LMAO @ Brotsky! Ha ha ha ha!!
Haha you found a banana! Lol. Some weird horns though
Been finding some around here
No snow in my area of NY to concentrate them...spread all over...will be a tuff year

According to my cameras they just started dropping here in my neck of Minnesota this week. Just sold a pile of old sheds so I need to get out and beat the trails looking for some new ones.
Here's one I passed on two years ago...what was I thinking? He disappeared?
I'll try that again?
On the hoof.
I picked up five last wednesday and 4/5 looked like mid march sheds; they were really chewed up and a bummer. I'd say if you're looking to start in the timber where the sheds would get chewed up faster.
jingalls, that shed is from a different year than the one in the pic. G2 is longer than g3 in the pic, and shorter on the shed. And the drop is longer on the shed one. I'd keep lookin' :^)
Just the angle of the pic. Very deceiving. If I sent u all the pics it would make sense. But oh how I wish u we're right!
Makes sense. How about the match? Its a beauty. I haven't been out yet, too much going on. Chomping at the bit though, but still maybe a bit early.
Jingalls , That drop is cool. I found a dead head a few years back that had a drop. One of my favorite skulls/sheds in my collection. Good luck chasing him.
Here is a photo of that buck I found a few years back.
The snow is still waist deep here.
All the better for ice fishing grubby!!!
Yesterday and today NW Illinois. Guessing half still holding by us
Bummer on this one

Found eleven this weekend in north central Illinois, based on trailcam surveillance i'd say 80-90% of bucks have dropped. My wife and daughter went out yesterday and found five; man has she grown since last year! My back is hurting today!
I found this shed today and it is several years old. I missed this buck the year after when he was 170"
Found this one today as well. He was close to 150" this year.
Nice finds - wish I could go look, but won't be doing any of that for awhile. 8 in more coming tonight and tomorrow. DRAG. 24" here - Trapper's head is at my waist, I'm 6'.
