wybowbender, I was on a mix on private and public land. Out of respect to my friend who invited me out, I can't name of the town. I will say that I have never seen more bucks over 130 ever before (over 20) I hunted a total of 11 days on 3 trips and had 2 close calls on 140 class bucks (one of which I hit) and luckily my buddy killed the next day 147 inch 9 point that was a great 8 with a small g4. I didn't see anything over 160, but he has photo's of several. For a MN boy, it was a trip of a lifetime! My buddy that went with killed a 130's 8 point 2 hours into our first sit! You will have a blast. If you do some research, and are willing to use a kayak or canoe, you can easily do well on public land.

Looking to hunt Muscatine Co, public, private, or public. I have 2 pp, my wife has colon cancer, starting chemo next week, so I'm not sure if I can hunt there this year? Just have to wait and see, maybe next year? Thanks, Bob

Yup, agree with Charlie!! Get another point this year. I have 3 myself and I am buying another this year and where I am planning my hunt I can draw easily with 2. Just some insurance. Take care of your wife, hunting will take care of itself! Shawn

Accumulate points and take care of your wife. More points will give you more options in different zones. 4 & 5 pretty much require 3 points now. Maybe 4. Best of luck to you and your wife.
