Anybody do spring plantings? They seem to be cool weather germinators, so can be planted early and provide good protein early in spring. I have never tried them.

Why do people not plant them? There must be a disadvantage over other legumes.

Any grocery store dried bean can be planted, and I haven't found one yet that deer don't eat. Give them a shot, can't hurt...
