Baiting has begun even though there is still a foot of snow and -15 degrees Celsius

Had a camera left out from last spring got a nice surprise. Steve from Iowa thought he shot the big cinnamon that was on my cam. He did shoot a 375lb cinnamon but turns out there was 2 of them on the same bait. I got pics of this guy after Steve shot his excited to see if he comes back.

Bears can only sleep for so long. Sun is getting high in the sky so cold or not they'll be moving soon, Have hunted when its warm & sunny and when there has been a foot of snow on the ground and have always seen bears. Warmer is definitely better but no matter what, put the bait out and they will come.

Steve shot this awesome colour last night we went 5 for 5 this week 3 colours and 2 blacks can’t be more happy.

Cody was a first time bear hunter he wasn’t experienced on judging bear size and passed a 285 to 300lb bear the first night showed us video we were amazed lol. He beat himself up all week but ended up getting this nice black. Bears were rubbed early so finding a good hide was tough but everyone including us had a blast.
