“The sky is often blue during elk season.”

I wonder if we can have a thread that doesn’t turn into an argument in the off-season!

Yep,, everyone is pissed off right now. No hunting, yard work, unruly kids in the last month of school.... HA

My 13 year old son and I are leaving for Kansas to chase turkeys as soon as he gets out of school today. Let's hope the sky is blue there because it's raining on me now!!!

You are wrong (ha ha). Often it's blue, but sometimes it's orange and at night it's mostly black. No argument ... just sayin'. Somebody had to be "the one".

One from SW Colo - the biggest old growth tree of the season. "Little Lou's" scat was just over that first ridge :)

Can you spot the hunter?

It's been the wettest winter and "spring" here in a long, long, long time. It snowed here last Sunday for perspective. The trees are finally budding and sprouting though. Turkey hunting? I've heard two gobbles in three weeks. But, its rained everyday I could hunt too. So, to suggest I'm a little temperamental might be an understatement. I'm getting flat out disgusted as I watch it rain buckets again today. SMH.

Well I'm pissed off ! The damn hogs have been in my bean plot and my pea plot. I caught two of them at daylight this morning and one stayed around until I hauled his worthless carcass off to the hog graveyard where a couple of his cousins are feeding the buzzards and coyotes. I worked all day Thursday and Friday to put those two plots in. I hope they didn't eat all of the seed.

WARNING ! Gun kill !
