2018 California spring season PIC HEAVY
Turkey
Contributors to this thread:
Here is Joe and I 2018 spring season here in Cali where we tagged out, helped friends and family out with their birds, and got three young kids on birds, which was two of threes first harvested turkeys! Turkey hunting for us is an obsession like all seasons and species but it definitely brings us together with special people that creates life long memories. I’ll post up plenty of pics with a little info on each hunt. Anything left out will be told by the pics. This will be a picture heavy thread so may take a while to finish ;-) .... and there will be plenty of this!
Our first hunt was with friends and junior Clara and her Dad. Clara and my daughter are friends as well so a blind full of seven year old girls was entertaining to say the least. Clara smoked her first bird, called in the whole flock off the roost, 20 yard shot, O yard recovery. Great memories!
Time to load up and find joe one.

So to end it we spent many days in the field and made many memories. We ended up harvesting/witnessing 19 birds in our group going down this season and had a helluva great time doin so. As mentioned before in another thread we get a lot of questions about our photography so I tried to include a bunch of diff types of pics in this thread from the typical “hero” pose shot to natural shots in the field to live pics and so on... we love turkey hunting and what it includes as far as the weather, the views, the birds, and most important the times spent with friends and family making memories. Hope you all enjoyed this and now onto summer and fall big game hunts!

WOW, what a season! That's an incredible amount of successful hunts, what an awesome year. It's great to see all that hunter recruitment!!!
It's been a few years for me but I did sneak in a few hunts on our new property in the Appalachians (western NC). I didn't hear a single gobble in 5 days but a Tom did finally come out to say hello and goodby on my last day. I was busy hammering t-posts in the ground to protect my apple tree investment but it was really cool knowing he was using my property.
Great pics, great season and I have to agree I love turkey hunting too! Had some fried turkey this weekend. Thanks again!
Aptly named Chris, you and your friends are definitely turkey slayers! Awesome!
Good times....great thread!
