Huge and tough. If it’s only a single lung that’s perforated you can plan for a very long day tracking. Ten miles is not unheard of. I had a great shot at crease on mine but from a pitblind the angle was upward quartering slightly forward so it only really took out the righ lung with head embedded in opposite shoulder joint. My PH said he’s going down within 60 yds at the shot. However 6 hours and 10 miles later we luckily found him at dusk and he needed to be put down. Bittersweet but it can happen with even what I considered a well placed shot. Good luck on your hunt.

AZ-Rich,
You were lucky to get yours with a 6 hr track. I made a high lung shot with bow and it took 26 hrs of tracking and a British .303 to end the hunt.

Yes I was lucky. Just remember to take water and sunscreen with you. We left our gear in the blind not knowing how far or long it was going to be and I don’t think I’ve ever been so dehydrated.
