I am having trouble finding a tannery to turn a fresh deer skin into buckskin leather. Any suggestions? Used to use Rocky Mountain Tanners, but they are long gone. Located in PA. Not interested in going trough a taxidermist unless I strike out and get the hide finished with hair on. Thank you.

I used Keystone Tannery/Taxidermy near Gettysburg several times. It's a big place. Even got a tour of their tanning facility.

Specialty Leather in Boone, Iowa. You will probably need to flesh, Salt, then fold it to dry hard. Not many places will take a green hide and if they do you will be charged plenty for it.

Uber Glove Co on Adams in Owatonna MN.
They may not still be Uber, but I believe they’re still there.
They’ll process split as garment leather or unsplit for a bit more. I have about 10 of each.... LOL
