Anyway, beautiful morning in Montana today but dead quiet. Lots of fresh poo tho. So the elk are here.

Bugles all over colorado, from nearly every ridge top. Most sound like Doug Flutue and their chuckles sound ridiculous but man are they fired up.

Hearing noise in AZ. Usually right after it gets dark and again in the AM.

The rut is determined by amount of daylight. Warm weather may suppress it some during the daytime.

Drove Charlie Rehor around yesterday evening near my place…..heard a few bugles and saw two bulls with cows…..one was a B&C caliber bull.
