I drew a unit 40 Archery tag this year. I spent my 14 elk points on this tag. I guided the first 2 weeks of season then headed down for the last 12 days. I was late to the game finding a place to hunt because of my season prep for Flat tops adventures. I meet Mike Lawson from Trophy Class outfitters in July this year on a scouting trip. Mike told me if he got all his guys taged out he would help me get a bull. Man im glad i meet Mike. I hunted public for the first 3 days and could of killed nice 6 points every day, but not the type of bulls i was looking for. That night Mike let me know it was my turn and it was on! I hunted with Dalton one of his young guides for the next 7 days. We looked over 50 bulls a day had some really close calls on some gaints and on the morning of the 8th day God put the perfect bull in font of me at 15 yards. This hunt was the best elk hunting i have ever seen. Out of this world experience.

I passed afew bulls on public around that 300" mark. 290-305. Was easy to get them in bow range. But we would walk through those bulls to get to ones like i shot on Mike's properties.

What a huge Bull! Congrats to you! How much does a bull this size weight? about how much meat does he yeild? How much doe a rear quarter go? I just cant believe how big they really are.
