Ukiah Elk

Thinking of hunting the Ukiah/Starkey units this fall after scouting there late last summer. I found reasonable sign but only had a couple days to scout. I'm driving from southern oregon and it's a LONG drive up there. Does anyone have experience with this area or know the best time of season to hunt as I have other areas I would like to hunt. Any info would help as Im trying to figure out a schedule.Thanks
