I have been fortunate to have been picked for the Ashland block 2 years in a row. The hunting has been tough, real tough.
50 hunters in 2011 and only 16 deer taken. None by me, and I logged over 150 hours in the stand.

2011:
Water very high. Great natural pinch points and funnels created by the water. No mast crops.
2012:
Water very low, funnels have changed, a lot. Acorns everywhere. Deer activity is up as is hunting pressure. Number increased from 50 to 70 hunters for this property.
PWS opened additional bow only parcels.
