Hi, just looking for some general information about the very eastern part of KY. I just moved out here in Northern VA for a job promotion. Frustrated with the no Sunday hunting rule. Looks like the closet I can go and camp for 2 or 3 days is 6 hours west of me in the very eastern part of KY. Looks nice and hilly. I realize deer density is lower than western KY, I'm fine with that if I can hike in and find some elbow room. Is there much public land and if so what is the hunting pressure like during bow seasons? Thanks for any help, tips or information. Fred

lots of public land, about a million acres of it. deer densities are low but there are some bruisers coming out of there every year. if i was going to hunt there i would only hunt the rut when bucks are on their feet looking for does. you will have to continually scout for fresh doe sign and hunt hard. good luck.
