We are hunting a new spot around 10 miles north of ADA and the full moon and cool temps really had an impact on the deer around us over the weekend. We found close to 10 new rubs overnight, and way more activity on trail cams. We seen two bucks still together Sunday morning, also found both left and right sheds off a trail not 10' apart. I have never found both sides before, one was 7 other a 5 hope to see him in the woods. What are the rest of you seeing as far as pre-rut sign or if even that?

Watched two different bucks make scrapes and beat up trees over the past weekend. Big guys should start trolling good in the next few weeks. Looking forward to it!

hunting the same area this last weekend showed a bunch of movement. I saw three different bucks checking does, one camera showed two different bucks checking a fence crossing that sees a lot of doe crossing. 1 buck was killed he was a 8 point, and his hocks were nasty stinky. so I have to say its happening in my neck of the woods.

They are beginning to move around a bit with the cooler weather. Not quite time yet. I'm getting reports of bucks running together, a young six following a couple of does, and assorted reports of young bucks dogging does. A nice 6 got run over the other night very near my spot. Guess I won't have a shot at him. I know of two bucks shot Sunday near feeders by themselves.

I hunt just south of Tulsa and this year things are really weird. Usually, I get tons of night pictures. I did get night pics in September, but all of a sudden, no night pictures at all. Even the coons quit showing up which is doubly strange. Last week I had buck pics from 7:30-8:30 a.m. and again around 6:00 p.m. I hunted all last weekend and never saw a deer. Other guys on the lease reported very little movement. Rubs and scrapes are starting to show up so I know they are still around. One thing that may be affecting the deer is we have A TON of coyotes. I got pics of 'yotes on two separate cameras. Maybe they are influencing the deer movements.

Hunted all day Sunday near Seiling, never saw a deer. Lots of nighttime buck activity still on cameras. Honey do's finished. Heading back out to hunt the rest of the week. Starting in the rain tomorrow, I think. Hopefully when the rain moves out midday, they will get up and start moving.

I saw 2 but couldn't the shot off due to all the foilage. My dad saw 3 just out of range. After we looked around a bit and found numerous scrapes but still not seeing any chasing.
On another note. Very first time in a tree saddle and I'm already convinced I'll never pack in another tree stand ever again. The AeroHunter was comfortable and easy to use. Just different. Wish I would of found it 20 years ago!

I hunt just south of Bixby. Bucks are really scraping and rubbing. Lots of nighttime activity showing bucks pestering the does. Our buck groups have broken up. Lots of bucks were seen cruising this weekend. Buddy of mine killed a nice 8 pt that came to investigate a doe that was standing in a scrape.

Killed a nice buck sunday morning. First time to hunt my favorite stand due to work and less than ideal conditions. This is the third nice buck in three consecutive years; killed the first week of Nov, from the same stand, using the same buck lure/scent. All three bucks were standing still smelling the lure when shot! I love this buck lure! It has never failed me yet! 2011 was a big 8. 2012 was a big ten, and 2013 was a nice 6 - he was not as big antler wise as the others, but it was tall and pretty, and he dressed at a respectable 154 lbs. He also seemed to really like hearing my grunts? I hadn't seen anything until I did a series of grunts, and about 5 minutes later I saw his antlers coming through the trees. He got down wind of the scent - walked right up to it and stood there smelling the wind and licking his lips! That is where he stood when the Zwickey smacked him. I got a doe later that evening... so the deer are really moving. When I was driving my deer to the check in station - a huge 6 x 6 trotted across the road in front of me! It was a good day for deer hunting, as they really seemed to be moving. Hope this conti nues next week when I get to hunt Mcalester!!!! Oooh - I can't wait!!! LOL! Good hunting all!

well we hunted Friday and Saturday and it was some of the worst hunting to date. we are hunting near sasakwa and the cameras showed 1/3 the movement of previous weeks and we didnt see very much movemnet at all. now we saw several new rubs and one fresh scrape but thats it. I dont know what to think, we also only heard 4 BP shots out of two days hunting. Hoping it gets better next week.
Hey Tonto what buck lure you using thats working so well for ya?

I was out yesterday, and had two big bucks run by at 15 feet. No chance for a shot. A third forkhorn came trotting by, but never stopped. Saw a doe right before dark. Somebody spooked the bucks out of neighboring property. I'm still not seeing major movement in my travels around S.E. Oklahoma. It's just not time yet, but it's getting closer. Temps are cooling down, rain showers pretty often, so it will just get better. I'll be in the woods again as soon as I can.

Hunted in Beckham County this past weekend. No chasing where I was, Bucks still in bachlor groups and their hocks were still light colored. A couple of weeks out in my opinion. Have a great and safe fall!
