OMNR just sent out a news release saying the spring bear hunt for residents east of Thunder Bay will commence spring of 2014. I think it's ridiculous!! It should be open right across Ontario. For residents and non residents alike. They want to lower the population around high human populations.

I agree; Ive hunted lower Lanark for 28yrs now; in the past 8yrs weve seen ALOT more bear activity; its gone from a once in awhile transient bear population to around seven alone in the 150acres I hunt. 4-5of which remain all year; last one on cam was October and was a very large male. should be all Ontario.
