I can't say I will no longer hang trail cameras, but I will be changing my strategy.

I recently checked a camera from a very active scrape where the bucks paid little attention to it; however, they were busy destroying the licking branches.

The camera is fairly small and was hung about 6 feet high. One doe noticed the LEDs from about 15 yards and stopped in her tracks, but didn't seem to spook too much.
