Hey Guys I'm new to the forum and am hoping to get some information on pig hunting at Sonoma Lake. Moved to the area a few years ago and am dying to get out locally and harvest a boar.
Recently found that pig hunting is available at Sonoma Lake. How is it? I'm a novice bow hunter and really want to hear about experiences you've had out there.

"a boar". Hehe pigs a pig especially for a newby.. Shoot first pig that gives you a good shot. Your chances may be fewer then you think. Re your question i cant help you with that but there is another thread re sonoma. Good luck!

Haha yeah I guess I'm wishing big to even see a boar let alone get a shot on one. Definitely going to take whatever I can get, thanks.

In a nutshell, Lake Sonoma is managed by Army Corps. Owing to Washington budget shenanigans they have currently shut down all of the public campgrounds, but the lake is still open for bow hunting pigs. PM me for more info.
