Hope everyone is enjoying this holiday season. Starting to think what I can do to my land for next year deer season. I have approximately twelve acres of land of mostly new growth timber. There are some old growth trees for tree stands but I am thinking of constructing a blind. Land is located in central Maine with deer and turkey activity and just started hunting on property last two seasons when time allows.

The land is somewhat hilly but does level out for a really good distance before turning into a ridge. Was thinking of clearing some beech trees as there are a ton of them and making a couple of food plots. Was advised to throw down clover but have no idea what else to try out.

Any advice on how to or what to plant will be greatly appreciated. Thanks
