There will be a 3D shoot and fly fishing demo(if no ice on pond ;-) at 1pm on the church grounds. Tickets will be sold at the door from 2-2:30. $10 adults and $5 kids(16 and under).
This year's Speaker is Author, musician and avid bowhunter Steve Chapman. Steve has a unigue presentation that mixes his personal experiences in the outdoors(mostly hunting), good country music on the accoustic guitar and personal insights and life lessons learned over the years, told with his unique style of humor.
We have had many good speakers over the years, including Charles Alsheimer and Bob Foulkrod, but Steve's unique presentation seems to be a favorite.
After the main session dinner will be served, followed by many seminars and demonstrations put on by local experts including everything from fishing the Delaware River to sausage making and meat curing until 7pm.
Many door prizes will also be given away.
Hope to see some of you this year!
Scott- 3D shoot and fly fishing demo and mountain man display/presentation is 1-2 out back on the church grounds. 2-2:30 we wander in and get tickets and 2:30 the main speaker goes on.
Around 4:30 or 4:45 we serve dinner in the gym: meatballs in brown gravy and marinara sauce and marinated grilled strips, mashed taters and the favorite homemade cornbread casserole, green beans, rolls and pie alamode for dessert.
But seriously, we are fortunate to have a lot of members and friends that let us borrow their mounts for display in our lobby! Every year we seem to have some really unique mounts! Only one of those deer is mine, though- lower right hand corner next to the door frame.
We try to decorate the church with mounts and outdoor scenes to make it less like a church and more appealing/comfortable for sportsmen! (Jeff? ;-)
