White Buffalo Violations 3/26/14 in Redding, CT

Redding, Ct. CAES and White Buffalo, Inc. broke another DEEP regulation on 3/26/14 by killing and removing deer, 210 feet ( 70 yards ) inside of Top Stone Park, Redding, CT. The deer were shot from 19 Top Ledge Road in Redding. The CAES ( Connecticut Agriculture Experiment Station ) is not authorized to shoot or remove deer from the Town of Redding municipal land. CT DEEP law enforcement was notified of the violation and responded to conduct the investigation. DEEP officers were very helpful, but within an hour received a phone call and were informed that it was a wildlife issue and to not take a report. DEEP wildlife has shown blatant disregard for enforcement of the regulations and rules they themselves have written regarding White Buffalo taking of deer. The CT DEEP by making up new provisions and expanding areas as they go, particularly without informing the public or interested parties, must cease. This procedure must be considered a serious Public Safety violation. It appears to many the CT DEEP Wildlife Division is now acting as their own legal and law enforcement authority in regard to dealing with White Buffalo and the Integrated Tick Management study in Redding, CT.
