CT already allows carry in bars and churches.

The only thing this does that CT doesn't already have is it allows carry in certain public buildings.

Unless I am missing something, what is the big deal about this law? It is all over the news so it must be a bigger deal than it looks like.

I once had a permit to carry my 357Mag, but I wouldn't dare do it today. I don't think I would walk 10ft before a swat team wrestled me to the ground and beat the crap out of me before asking me if I had a permit to carry.

I would feel safer with one on my hip though!!

vdaiuto what do you mean when you say ct is open carry?

Open carry is legal but highly advised against. I believe that if open carry was more common, that thinking would be changed. The current common thought for those who don't know any better is that we "gun toting lunatics" want this to be like the old wild west. When in reality common folk back then were far more respectful and civilized than todays standards.

Good guys v bad guys is easy. The bad guys shoot people indiscriminately. The good guys are shooting bad guys. That lady needs to watch some old Westerns.
