I'll be there the weekend before you so maybe I can help when I get back. Have hunted there once before with no luck. Feel free to shoot me a pm.

Hey I got hominy the 13-16 also. I'm stoked. This hunt should be better than any hunt around if their in full rut like I wild hope to be. Ive heard if the acorns r there u shld have no problem finding deer. I have an uncle that's a Whitehat for the area and he said he's gonna point me to the right direction.

I also found a matched set of sheds. The biologist said that they were about 210 inches

I've hunted Hominy three or four times. My advice is to go and have fun and not worry too much about finding a spot ahead of time.
They do things a certain way down there and it's not worth getting all worked up about not getting to hunt an area you had in mind because someone puts the pin there first.
In the several hunts I've been on there, I have come to the conclusion that it doesn't seem to matter a whole lot where you end up. It's all good!
I have had good luck around the cemetery on the west side, but it is a popular place as are most areas that get discussed on the web.

Ive hunted hominy several times. Around the marsh is good also anywhere it borders beartrap. Ask what the food source is at the time of your hunt, the whitehats are prety helpful
