Bowhunters and 3D Shooters! Niantic Sportsmen's Club Archery is hosting their July 3D Shoot on Sunday, July 27, on their 40 Rinehart target "hunters course.” It's family-friendly: a nice easy hike over varied terrain featuring North American big and small game targets in realistic hunting scenarios. Shoot moose, caribou, deer, bear, buffalo, antelope, mountain goat, sheep, alligator, wolves, coyotes, turkey…and other small game. These Rinehart targets are realistic—with easy arrow retrieval—and are the best in the state. The course has been changed since the last shoot and is a little longer (under 3 hours) with more single targets, a double buck treestand shot, and more. Enjoy free coffee and donuts in the morning and warm up on our 60-yard range before heading out for a great hunting experience. Registration is from 7 a.m. until noon, and cards must be turned in by 3 p.m. Each paid entry also receives a raffle ticket for a cool raffle prize. Lunch and cold drinks are available. This is a trophy shoot with keepsake medals awarded for first place in each class for both male and female participants in Open, Hunter, Traditional, Crossbow, and Youth categories. If you’re new to the sport you can be as competitive as you like—so there's no pressure and you just have fun!
