Hey Everyone,
I have been hunting with a Mathews Conquest II for 12 years, and loved it, killed a lot of deer with it. I paid $800 for the full package back then and thought bows would never get more expensive ...wrong...
Anyway, I'm ready to lay down a couple paychecks on a new bow, who has recently bought a new Mathews creed, M8, ect? Or Hoyte? Or whatever and is really happy happy happy!
I don't mind a little extra weight, anything over 300fps is alright, accuracy smoothness and forgivness are my things. And overall shootability.
Thanks for any advice!
I got a chill r , love it , with that said go to as many archery shops as you can and shoot some new bows, there are a lot of good bows, and prices vary, I also like the elite 35, and hoyt new bows. just liked the monster chill r the best. smooth draw, quite and fast. GOOD LUCK
I guess I beg to be different, was in bear camp the last full week of June. I killed a nice bear with my Hoyt Alpha Max, 9 guys, { I think } were shooting Mathews, 2 shooting Bowtech's. Chuck Adams was supposed to be there { but wasn't } and most of us know He shoots a Hoyt.Buy the best you can afford that suits YOU, most have Lifetime warranties. God Bless----->Ron
go to different shops and shoot them all and decide which you like the best. we all have our own opinions and you have to make up your own mind. I shot a mathews for a number of years, switched to a martin and loved it then shot hoyt's for a few years now I own an elite energy 35 and it is a nice shooting bow easy to draw and shoot and most of all extremely quiet.
Like i said,Go shoot as many bows as you can, it is a personal choice in buying a new bow i believe. If you looking for something fast, not sure of the name but pse makes a real fast bow. Most everyone likes something different in a bow. Good luck
I intend to try a few different Mathews. I never even considered the chill until now, thanks grizz.
I intend to shoot a few bows before deciding. But time is getting slim. I gotta fall in love with a bow in the next couple weeks and get dialed in.
Thanks everyone, for the advice.
I finally broke down and traded my antique in couple years ago and got the Mathews helium and love it so far can shoot it a lot better than the last don't know if it's more forgiving or if I'm getting to be a better shot lol but I will agree with everyone else go around and shoot some and see what works best for you and ya won't go wrong
