Just wondering what you guys use for a scent blocker. I use the bone collector scent eliminator by scent shield, but a friend says that dead down wind is the best.

I have always used scent-away but still think best scent control is hunting the right wind. If you hunt around cedars there are cedar scents that are awesome , I used it when I hunted Kansas stuff is great.

I've see scent away, scent blocker, scent killer BUT after using dead down wind (which destroys all oders) I am hooked. Not going back

If you guys are beating a deers nose id sure like to see it. I wonder how many gun hunters go to great lengths but never realize just how bad Hoppe's gun cleaner stinks. I set up down wind and cross my fingers. Saves me money every year. I find it pointless as im usually sweating my ass off as my average walks are 20+ minutes and sometimes with the climber on my back. Just my opinion.

I did use Ozonics last year and tested it out a couple times with bad swirling wind and must say that it worked pretty well, had deer 10 yards away with terrible wind and one of them finally spooked after getting my wind after a couple minutes. But only got it middle last season so can't wait to try it in the warm weather while sweating on stand.

I sit down wind from where I think deer will come as my primary sent blocker :)
That said, I use Scent Blocker or Dead Down Wind for the placebo effect it provides me.

Ditto Will. I will add that I've been smoking my clothes as a cover sent and have had good results. I use a bee keepers smoker and hard wood shavings from my hand plane. Still testing it.

I don't use any, they smell too much. All scent killers have a distinct odor that I can smell, and if I can smell them so can deer. Use the wind to cover your odor. Don't spray and pray.

Ever heard of lures to catch the fishermen rather than the fish? More deer have been shot with basic wind management than any cover scent. 10 years from now people will be wondering how anyone shot a deer without Ozonics or some other technical BS.
For an experiment try spraying yourself up and have your buddy's bird dog try to find you.
