I took my bow along with the intent of shooting at a local outdoor range after work. Left the bow in the truck all day on a 75 + degree day. That was huge mistake. Later when I stopped to shoot around 7PM the bow was very warm to the touch. I believe it had at least a temporary effect on the bow as I was all over the map at 10, 20, and 30 yards. Once the bow cooled down it was fine but, I am still wondering if it may have had a long term effect. Anyone else ever experience this?

My bow sits in the garage all summer and fall (in a case) and it gets quite hot in there. Never an issue.

Never had an issue. I always re zero at elevation but temp changes never have been an issue.

With the older compounds limbs could and did delaminate in the heat. Also depending on the material, your string/cables can stretch a bit. This can throw your tune off. Sometimes they will settle back and everything returns pretty much where it was.

Shoot a Mathews Classic. I shot again today and it was back to dead on! Go figure.

I had one delaminate back in the early 1990's and it was in the car for only about five hours -- I take better care of my bows now. As I pulled it back I had limb pieces all over the place.

I lived out west for 15 years and hunted NV and UT in temps of 95 to 105 with mich higher temps in your vehicle. Longbow, recurve, or compound they didn ' t seem to be impacted.

Agree with Nov, if you site in your bow in WI you better re-site if you hunt above 8,000 feet.
