place to shoot near Gallatin (Nashville)

Visiting my grandkids in Gallatin (northeast Nashville) next weekend and I have a kid's longbow and arrows for them. Does anyone know of a nearby place where I can take them to shoot without getting in trouble? Daughter lives in an apartment complex so no backyard to shoot. We're talking shooting 10 yards at a cardboard box with a few balloons on it. Thanks.

May be too late but there was a public archery range in Hendersonville, TN...Corps of Engineers Rockland area...practice bales out front..
