Trail Pics - 8/28/14

With the start of the season right around the corner I was hoping to see a thread with the latest trail cam pics. It always fires me up seeing the big bucks this time of year. I live a few hours away from my trail cam pics so I can't post any until the start of the season but I would love to see some from everybody.
Try to list your area of the state as well if you can. I think this will really get the blood flowing in most of us hunters.
Thank you in advance
Dates are wrong, from around 8/15 or 8/16
Here's one from yesterday.
From yesterday.....
Silvrtip
here is my contribution he is on my wish list for the oddity of his rack.
Meet Mr Big. Anyone think he is a booner? Should be interesting to see if he stays in the area.
dbl lung, very nice deer. I don't think he will gross Boone, but he's still a dandy.
"Try to list your area of the state as well if you can." From Thread owner.
No need to get GPS specific but it would be nice to see what part of the State.
Nice pics all.
DB lung- upper 160s gross is my guess.
Dbl lung-
I'll guess 165 and 22 inches wide, the buck with him looks like a shooter also.
Thanks for posting, September 13 can't come soon enough!
Personally, I don't think he would make 160, but certainly hard to tell from a single picture....in velvet, and I hope he's bigger, and you see him in October.
Pretty deer, and I'd hope score wouldn't be the determining factor in deciding if this deer is worthy of shooting? A lot if guys over estimate a deer's score, but anytime you have an opportunity at a deer in the 150's, consider that a blessing just to see, let alone get a shot at. He sure has a big old snout on him.
I haven't uploaded anything from my cameras, but nothing greater than 100 on my cameras so far.
DBL Lung, I think I see a common base so a net score of only about 100" LOL! Looks like a great buck regardless of the score. 22" inside spread is HUGE and from only one picture I don't see 22" but I could easily be wrong.
Mine is from the SE part of the state in Ozaukee County. Pretty typical buck for my property as far as age. Many see 2.5 to 3.5 years of age. Few see 5 years I have one out there that made it through the winter. He is pushing 5 years or better. I've been on him for three years. I hope I get one more shot at getting close to him.
Hope this works. This is 4th year I have been following this deer. National forest. I have no idea on score ,just know he would be a dream buck for me!!
FRD. I hope you get that buck. It would be an amazing accomplishment and would trump all of us that are hunting private land. That is a true buck of a lifetime.
This big 8 I have a 3 year history with. Last year he had a twin of him that I know the guy that got him with a bow. The guy was exstatic to say the least. There can be some pretty outstanding deer on public land if you look hard enough. I have the trail cam part down now if I could just get an arrow in one. It has been a 14 year quest for Nat. forest deer and I have gotten a few decent bucks just not one of the true wall hangers yet.
Nice deer, good luck to all of you. Here's one that will get an arrow if given the opportunity.
Nice pictures, I love it when they put in the county..... Every year working at the deer classic I am impressed with the bucks from Dane and Columbia Countys, great deer there, in the land of the Jolly Green Giant............
Craig, that is a dream buck with the drop tine.
here are some Clark county bucks from middle of August
Poor picture but nice 10 pt.
Got my first trespasser of the year on camera. Butt-head walked right through the middle of my food plot.
Rjn, I'd guess 165, great buck, love the brow tines. Thanks for posting it.
"Got my first trespasser of the year on camera. Butt-head walked right through the middle of my food plot."
Well at least they didn't zap your card like they did to me.
This one has been a regular coming through this spot.
Seriously TheLama, that really sucks.
10 yes it does. Camera was out for three weeks and had a real nice 9pt coming through the area regularly. I think I know who did it but after what they did (shot a tree in half with about 6 different guns) that deer is long gone. If they stole the camera then the police would have been involved, zap the card and cannot prove much.
Run a magnet over the SD card and the card is junk.
99% of the people who use a trail camera do not have them inside a lockable box Howatt. I for one have 6 cameras out and none are locked as I have no problem with people messing with them.

Well I guess some people are perfect. LOL
When I have to start locking everything down because it might get stolen then I am done hunting it and time to sell and it tells me two things. 1) Everyone is going through the property and it most likely will be junk for hunting and 2)Too many neighbors that I do not know.
How come I have a hard time finding small basket rack bucks? Most of the deer I get pics of are either spikes or outside the ears. Nothing wrong with finding big bucks but I haven't been able to connect on one either. Hunting public land north of hwy 8
Jackson co 2 weeks ago date and time not set
None of my cameras are locked either. Have not had any theft or damage problems YET!
Still from video, Dane County.
Still from video, Dane County.
Oaktree, you have some pretty steep hills there in Iowa County.
My biggest so far this year, any gross score guesses?
If he lives another four years maybe five he might be a P&Y or B&C. Never say never.
Maybe a big boy some day -- right now they're just nice to see after a hard winter.
Live2hunt, tell me about it. You should see me try to walk up those bad boys.
I haven't been on here for a while so the pic is a little old.
OK I uploaded a picture from one of my deer cameras on the above thread. However, the picture of a kid holding a broken bloody arrow IS NOT mine and is not what I uploaded. Anyone have an idea what happened here?
That is Rancid last year. LOL
Lets try this again. Hoping the correct pic shows up.
Finally got to check the camera after running bear bait up north all summer. Lucky to usually have one or 2 to keep and eye out for. Going to be looking for this guy this year.
And I was at a different stand :(
Another shot (Trail Camera shot)
Squid, do you need company? :-)
I have nothing big right now but i wanted to contribute.
Finally checked the cams and have a few nice ones.
Not much up north this year. Two hard winters were hard on bucks and antler growth. So far this is all I have found with any antler development. I am thinking 5.5 year old.
Why do people take a picture of their monitor of a trailcam picture when they post here? If you download the photo to the picture from the card it seems a waste of time and looses quality when doing that. Why not load the photo file already on the computer?
"Uploaded from smartphone"
I understand that but why do that? The file is already on the computer and all one needs to do is link that in the proper place. Look for the spot that says "Embed a Photo"
Peeps. holy crap. Nice deer.
Sorry the pics were from a computer screen. I didn't have internet access on the laptop where I was. My son will be mentor hunting with me this year. I can't imagine how he will react if he gets a crack at one of these. But he is totally happy with a doe or lil buck and knows how hard it is to harvest a mature buck. Heck he's just happy to see deer. Gotta love his attitude for a boy that's almost 10.
I don't have a bear tag and would rather not see this on my deer stand spot. This is in an oak stand so bears are eating acorns I think. I have another daytime photo of a bear hound at this site too.
I let this one walk, be a goodie in about three or four years.
An hour after I leave -- oh well....
Deer seem to have disappeared into the corn in my area.
No monsters yet, thou after last winter, not expecting any.
This is the biggest on camera thus far.
Checked cameras today and found this guy on there. Hard to beat a water hole.
Was not able to hunt first part of season due to bad back. Now waiting for north wind to hunt this stand. Nat. forest deer.
some great bucks on this thread! If you all could just tie up those bucks, I'll swing by to transport them to my land. I'll even pay you $5 for each buck.
Just for variety some turkey pics.
Longbeards...
More gobblers.
Different day - different location and time...
And a flock of hens.
Including one taking a siesta.
Location is southern Door County. Plenty turkey and we have too many deer...
Very rare Flying rib-eyes!!
Nice pic. Rib Eye in the Sky. That trail looks to be twice the width of a Bush Hog. Planted in brassicas?
Yeah that's Turnips, Radishes, and rape.. I planted it in Mid august and it's looking great to me. This camera is at about the mid way point of the plot. It follows the corn the other way about 50 yards as well.
He came back during the day.
I'm thinking this buck is a brother of the one above as the tines on both deer come out of the base at the same point. I know it's not the same deer as I shot the one deer about a week after the picture was taken in 2012.
Smokey, I have all the company I can handle right now. ;)This dude must have been in a fight already - broken off eye guard already. :(
here's a few from this fall

Hey Squid are those boys still around back there?? I haven't gotten anything in my area except that bladed 4pt that everyone is seeing.
Handsome buck there squid. I would have hard time passing on that just because it is so unique looking. I still would pass though.
Ya 10, it's tempting & I just might. Passed on one almost like it yesterday.
Squid what time are you seeing them?? Julie n I haven't seen anything yet.
True-the clock on his camera says 5:41: 37. LOL I would assume that is PM because it is still pretty dark at that time in the morning, unless he is on the east coast.
TRUEBLUE NYR - I haven't been out in the morning as of yet, I'm seeing most at about 5:30 to closing. I have a damn dog running around now messing everything up for me. I yelled at it to go home last week and it showed me it's teeth with the hair standing up on it back. It might be time for it to get some long lasting sleep. You guys will be seeing them soon, the beans will be coming off shortly.
TRUEBLUE NYR - I saw the high rack four tonight at closing. Tempting but about ten min. late, I had to wait it out for another fifteen as to not spook him - there is always tomorrow.
Squid where are there beans near us?? I still have to hang my stands. I'm prob gonna sit night time out there too
this picture sucks, but the buck looks decent. His body looks like it has some miles on it.
Ok, it's about time! The little ones are starting to show up. Disregard the date and time. I have crap Moultrie cameras and they have to constantly be reset to default settings. So I gave up and left them on default. The area Customer Representative for Moultrie gave me that as a solution to the problem. That helps!
Here is another real interesting melon!
wibuckwatch-nice G-3 buck you have there.
here is one of our resident deer eaters, he's eating well
Guess who is back from his Month and a half hiatus!!
