McGuire AFB or surrounding area

I just got stationed here from Arkansas and am looking for public land or someone with good knowledge of the area that wouldn't mind showing me around or allowing me to hunt with them. I like to scout and get a camera in the woods and only bowhunt. I do know they allow hunting on base, but I've heard good and bad things about it. Just looking for some guidance, any help appreciated.
