Watched a doe go by another stand about 7:14, then head towards my deeper stand on the other end of the run. Wind was wrong for that tree today. Vitals were covered from my angle though. Nice morning so far

This is my first opener in 10 yrs that I'm missing.
The tradition of getting on stand, embracing the woods waking up for another season and then the traditional breakfast was canceled this yr due to a family emergency. Grandmother went into hospital last week and Drs found her full if cancer. My first sit will have to wait.

Seen 3 bucks one good buck they all came by at 600 to 615 am way to early to shoot. 1 tight taller 6 pt. with brows , one wide as his ears 6 pt. no brow tines. the 3rd who really never gave a clean look, but it is nice 8 pt. I have all of them on my camera. will try again one afternoon this week. good luck to everyone. some off my camera with in the last week

my camera got wet and can't display times and date correct anymore. knowing when I put the camera in and went by it today I'm pretty sure its like 4-12-00 is really 9-11-2014 and the time 652 am is really 5:22 pm

Saw one doe, 15 yards broadside. Three more steps and it was in the bag. Activity seems real low in Litchfield county however. Two of us out on a 137 acre plot for 3.5 hours, and only one deer seen. At minimum we usually see them in the fields going home. Cameras picked up very little action. I think we will try the acorn ridge next.
