Here's my suggestion.
Put up a camera that's no longer working in same area.
Above it high in a tree overlooking tree put a good camera to take pic of thieves.
Call the authorities. If they can't do anything you will have a pic of the thief. Get pictures made up and if you see them hand one to them.
