These are a great idea to lime a side or two of your food plot with if you have a 20 year plan for your plot. A row or two of chestnuts will add to your food plot.
If you have a plot that can be seen from a road or trail, a couple rows of pine or evergreen will block it off from sight in a few years.

I just planted 80 pines in the Spring and they have grown a foot over the summer

You might want to come up with a strategy to protect them this winter from the deer.
