So heres the order of occurance today.....cant sleep all night so I get up at 2:30. As I'm driving in, I almost smash one with my Trailblazer. It was standing so close to the road as I came around the corner, I thought my mirror clipped it. Walking into my spot, I jumped one. At about 7 I hear a ruckas. I turn and 50 yards out a hurd comes flying in. There were feet and heads everywhere. They followed the leader and headed away. At 8:12 I finally sit down to take a load off and wouldnt you know, I hear footsteps behind me. Why do they always come in from behind us regardless of where the wind is? Finally he steps out at 15. Whack! He runs off and slows to a stop at about 50 yards where he dropped. Then while pulling him out, I jumped another doe. He might be small, but his tenderloins melted in my mouth tonight. And for those of you who might be offended that I shot a small one and should let him grow....the property im on, they are crawling all over and the owner wants them ALL gone.

Gregg great job with your buck... Its not to small or to young... I'm not a trophy hunt I only hunt for meat... A bird in hand is better than a bird in the bush... I looking to harvest one of these many doe in the morning to restock my freezer...
Congrats

Don't ever apologize over the size of a bucks rack. Your eating the animal, that's why many of us hunt. Congrats to you, sounds like an exciting morning! Nothing like chop steaks cooking in the cast iron pan ;)

At least the doe has more milk for the other fawn now.
Just kidding. Any bow kill is a good kill. The venison wasn't gonna taste better next year and you can't eat antlers. Congrats.

Congrats and enjoy it. Like others noted, no worries on size. If you want to wait, wait. If not, cool. It's so hard to get a deer with a bow, and they are all delicious. Be proud man! Great deer!

Congrats, good shooting.
You, or anyone else, do not have to apologize for any deer that you kill.
It's about the hunt, and the good eating.
