I got a little time. I went and sat in my Turkey Hill stand around 2. I got to my parking spot and had two trucks parked. I met up with two gents setting up stands which gave me a little relief that I didn't smudge up somebody's hunt. I got down into the bowl and settled in. I watched squirrels fight for almost four hours. It was getting old. At one point they were climbing tithe tops of the oak trees and were knocking down acorns. It was almost 6 and I let out an upside down blow thru the hole mama can call. Not a minute after that I see her come up over the hill to the west. She was down in a creek bottom. I saw her look straight in my direction and she made a b line to move downwind of me. I lost her for a few and then she popped up into a shooting lane that I thought was 40 yards away. I let it fly and spines her. I quickly got down out of the tree, recomposed myself and got to 20 yards and finished her. She did not suffer for more than a couple minutes. I felt bad, but I have to take it as hunting. The time was 1800. I took a pic and raced up to my truck to grab my cart and change clothes. Went back down, took care of business and hauled her out by 730.
