Anybody know much about this parcel? Recently moved to SE WI and looking for some places to sneak out to during the week.

Pounded as all public land. Try the kettle Moraine Southern Unit. Still gets hammered but, should be much better and more opportunity.

You can try the Jackson Marsh too. I'd advise before Pheasant season starts though. Sat a few times out there and seen deer.

If you try the Jackson Marsh concentrate on areas that back up to private land. The NE corner is a good place to start. I would also try the Northern kettle Moraine near Mauthe lake before the Jackson marsh.
Droptine, I have a Topo map where for ten plus years I plotted all the good bucks I encountered while hunting. Send me a PM and I will scan it and send it to you.

Droptine, I sent it to you did you get it.
Pete, DT was the first to ask and probably doesn't need any more competition than he already has.

Droptine, My pleasure, good luck and stick to the letter of the law. That area usually is crawling with warden activity. If they see a big buck, they will sit on it waiting for someone to screw up. I speak from experience. I let a big buck walk the opening morning of gun season 10 minutes before legal shooting time. Believe me, I looked at the 12 pointer through the scope and clicked the safety off. Took a deep breath and clicked the safety back on. 8:30 that morning, a warden walked right up to me on stand and said I have been watching you all morning. I said I know, I figured when I saw that you didn't have a shotgun in your hands. He said he had been watching that buck all year and told me I did the right thing. I said, yah, yah, yah. I had hunted that buck all fall and actually had him between my ladder and the tree. He spooked and nearly kicked me out of stand. As you can see I have not been there for a long time.
