However, we have done a PATHETIC job as a group of bowhunters in helping add data to the survey. Last I heard they estimated around 150,000 bowhunters in the state. Last year 185 bowhunters participated in the survey. 185 out of 150,000
The DNR is doing their job by analyzing the data and putting it into a booklet form that provides useful information for us. We are not doing our job at providing them the data. It takes less than 5 minutes to document the data at the end of the day.
I know sometimes they have been slow at getting them out, but they do get them out which is better than what we're doing at getting the data to them.
If the numbers continue to drop at some point it is not going to be economically feasible to continue the survey for the small amount of data it provides. At that point we all lose a valuable survey with real data.
I challenge each of you to do the survey this year as well as get a hunting buddy or two to do it as well.
Thanks, gobbler

If you were a cooperator last year DNR has already mailed out new forms.
If you didn't submit a survey last year, make your way over to the WVBA website where you can download and print a corrected version. It's been reformatted to print on your 8.5x11 paper.
DNR really could use a lot more participants in this survey.
