Looking for some help on a hunting spot

Hello guys, I'm running behind here but was wanting to know if anyone could recommend some public hunting areas to try in the south eastern part of the state? I live in Parkersburg WV and have hunted on a farm in Washington County for a few years but it has been sold and the new owners want to hunt it themselves.(can't say that i blame them)
I have never hunted public ground and was just hopeing someone might have a few tips to point me in the right direction. Any help would be appreciated. Thanks.

I agree with pappy.....you just have to do your homework. Good hunting is to be had for those that put the effort in!

Does anyone have any information on Strouds Run State Park or Poston AEP land? Just wondering what kind of hunting pressure they receive. Can I expect to find some quality bucks in those areas? I don't mind to walk in aways if I have to.
Been busy and haven't been able to do alot of scouting, just don't want to spend alot of time there if it would not be worth my time. Thanks
