What are your recommendations ??
Thanks
I dont think they are better boots, I do think they fit me better. See if you can try both - either option you wont go wrong.

I have a quality thermos that I fill with boiling hot soup in the morning. I sip on it every 30 min once I start feeling cold and it keeps my core warm, which makes it easier to keep my extremities warm.
I know the scent can be a problem, but being in the woods will alway get you more deer than being in the truck or at home warming up.
Bob, The hot drink is nice, but it has been proven that you can't drink enough hot stuff to ward off hypothermia. I have a new Hydroflask (18oz.) this year, and once the temps get to 40, I will be packing a hot drink.
I have found that isometric exercises, and then low motion movements, do more to stimulated circulation/warmpth. After three hours on stand, I will then spend three minutes doing deep knee bends and arm rotations to really get the blood flowing.
Bob, I'm curious, you said: "and toe warmers that I insert at the base of my tree." I can see how that might warm up the tree roots a bit, but what does it do for your feet? :-)
I got a pair of the Lacrosse Aeroheads that Pat reviewed on Bowsite last year. They come in 2 weights, 3mm and 7mm of insulation. The 7mm seems like they will do a great job keeping my feet warm. I haven't worn them in frigid conditions yet, but So far I love them. Much warmer than the sorel pac boots I wore for years.
Not sure that it will ward off hypothermia, but for me it warms my core if I keep sipping then I stay comfortable for a longer period. I also do isometrics, and wiggle my toes and fingers to move the blood around.

got me.
the trick is not sweating on the way to the stand
Hey, someone did it to me when I said I put toe warmers in at the base of my tree.
Here is what I do to help cut down on sweating...
I will spray my feet with unscented antiperspirant.
Wear regular cotton socks and sneakers, on the drive. After I arrive, I'll remove the cotton socks, air dry my feet, and then dust them with corn starch.
I'll change into wool socks.
This cuts down on the sweating, and my feet stay warmer longer.
I do this for ice fishing as well.
What's the best bug repellent?
I can't really remember the last time I hunted where it was so cold that I needed anything else.
