Just a friendly reminder. Deer, Elk, Moose have Antlers. They are not horns. There is a major difference. And we owe it to the next generation to teach them right. Learning the characteristics of the animals we hunt is a part of becoming a hunter.

Antlers are something that is shed every year, horns are permanent, like cattle, water buffalo, bison, ect. Calling horns all came about of what part of West Virginia you came from. Antlers, became a part of Field & Stream & Outdoor Life back in the 50's, a lot of older people still calls them horns, today. We just to be correct should call deer antlers, antlers, for the sake of the younger generation.
